May 26, 2006, Newsletter Issue #94: Credit Cards

Tip of the Week

Read every piece of mail your credit card company sends
you. Especially the fine print. Check to see if they
have instated a rate change. If so, call them and see
if they will reinstate your old rate. If not, consider
switching cards. You do not have to accept the new
rate and paying off the balance at your current interest
level. But if you make any new charges, the rate will
instantly go to the higher one.
