Label the sides of boxes instead of the tops. This prevents constant rearranging to find the one you want.
Go through old magazines, flyers, mail order catalogs and set aside ones to take to the recycling center. Sort through the rest and get some large 3 ring binders to hold them by category.
Use a large lined calendar for keeping track of family activities and events. The family calendar should be displayed in a central location and each family member should be encouraged to list weekly activities at least one week ahead of time. By planning ahead, scheduling conflicts can be avoided.
